After 2400kms on the road, driving up and down in the North Island, we have finally returned back home in Christchurch. We are greeted by the lovely sight of the cherry blossom at our front yard, it’s good to be home! There is yet another challenge before I could sit back and relax, I need to reverse the Airtream back into our drive.

After a fantastic ride on the Blue Bridge ferry across the Cook Straight, we arrived at Picton at around 5.45pm. We decided to camp out at Parklands Camping Ground, which is just 3kms from the port. It’s a spacious camping ground that we were able to easily park up our Airstream. The stay was enjoyable, I love the fresh air and sounds of the birds singing in the morning. Good to be back on the South Island of New Zealand!

We head the road to Palmerston North, after a peaceful sleep at Steve Norman’s lifestyle block.
If you are a fan of the Airstream, please feel free to contact Steve, he will help you in anyway to have one imported. Visit Steve’s website here.
Successfully reversed back into the drive at James & Ruby’s.
